founder bio

Robin Bishop is an executive leader, editor, writer, consultant, and entrepreneur with a passion for helping people and organizations communicate with clarity, purpose, and impact. As founder of The Edited Home, she combines strategic insight, storytelling expertise, and organizational leadership to help clients create meaningful transformation in their homes, businesses, and lives.

 

Throughout her career, Robin has led teams, coached professionals, managed complex projects, and developed content that connects people to ideas in authentic and engaging ways. Her background spans publishing, media, business leadership, nonprofit consulting, and communications, giving her a unique ability to bridge strategy and execution. Known for her integrity, collaborative leadership style, and commitment to excellence, she is equally comfortable guiding organizational initiatives, mentoring team members, or crafting compelling narratives.

 

Robin believes that lasting success is built on strong relationships, continuous growth, and a willingness to adapt in a changing world. She brings a people-first approach to every endeavor, helping individuals and organizations achieve their goals with confidence and purpose.

Growing up in Montana, Robin moved to Spokane right out of high school. She met and married a local boy, Eric Bishop, 37 years ago, making the Inland Northwest home, and raising their three adult children, who remain in the region. After selling their family home in Spokane Valley, they moved to Pend Oreille County 5 years ago, to enjoy the best of what the Inland Northwest has to offer, and a slower, more intentional way of life.

Robin earned her graduate education through the Gonzaga University School of Leadership Studies, where she completed advanced studies in leadership, organizational development, and change management. Her experience in Gonzaga's leadership program deepened her understanding of ethical leadership, change management, team dynamics, and organizational effectiveness. Grounded in the Jesuit tradition of lifelong learning and servant leadership, she views leadership as a continual process of growth, curiosity, and service to others. Robin believes the strongest relationships are built from an environments that foster trust, encourages diverse perspectives, and invests in the development of every individual. Her approach emphasizes learning as a lifelong discipline, empowering people to think critically, communicate effectively, and lead with both competence and character.

Robin's undergraduate studies were completed at Central Washington University, where she earned her BA in English: Professional and Creative Writing. This diverse program strengthened her creative instincts and nurtured her natural curiosity for problem-solving and storytelling, which enhances her ability to meet folks where they are in their personal and professional journey, while gaining insight and understanding of their current situation and their goals.

Always having an entrepreneurial spirit, Robin found it helpful to also gain a certification in Integrated Business and Entrepreneurship, which has helped more than a few clients in the logistics of start-up, pitching, and calculating ROI.
